Meditation is probably one of the hardest skills to learn. The main reason why most people fail at meditation is a lack of time, consistency and guidance.
When I started my meditation journey, I wasted so much time trying to learn things through youtube and meditation apps with the belief I could figure out everything for myself. I went through periods where I would meditate for a couple of months, and then life got in my way, and I would give up.
This constant starting and stopping impacted my progress. During this period, the
burdens of my high-pressure job caught up with me, leading me to burnout impacting my mood, relationships and also my physical & mental health.
I realised I needed to change and committed thousands of hours to attending meditation retreats, practice, workshops and seminars.
The problem is the average person cannot simply stop living their life and spend hundreds of hours meditating to experience a life-changing transformation.
Meditation is a journey of self-inquiry, giving you a higher understanding of how your thoughts, feelings and emotion influence you. But unless you know the right formula, you will not be able to make progress in your meditation practice.
